COMMERCIAL BUILDERS

The Commercial Builders Council (CBC) provides education and information to all members who are commercially active or diversifying into commercial development, building and remodeling.  We just enjoyed our 3rd Quarter membership meeting with guest speaker Bill Kuhlke, Jr, Chairman of the GA State Transportation Board.  Mr. Kuhlke broughtr us up to date on what's happening with road projects - current and future - in our local area. Everyone is invited to try out Augusta's own "spaghetti junction"!  And, get ready for work on widening Alexander Drive.  We'll let you know the date and speaker  for our 4th Quarter meeting soon!

The Mission Statement:  The Commercial Builders Council of the Builders Association of Metro Augusta provides education and information to all members who are commercially active or diversifying into commercial development, building and remodeling.  The Council serves as a resource to members of the Builders Association of Metro Augusta who work in the commercial area.

The objectives of this CBC are:

• to provide information and support to the Association’s builder and associate members engaged in commercial development, building and remodeling.
• to develop and conduct educational programs directed toward professionals in the building industry and to the public, as needed.
• to work with the association’s governmental affairs committee on government issues that relate to commercial development;
• to conduct programs of interest to all Association members and include within its membership any Association member in good standing.  Membership in this Council shall be open to any builder or associate member in good standing of the Association who is directly or indirectly engaged in commercial development, building or remodeling.
