REMODELORS COUNCIL
The Remodelors™ Council (RMC) of the Builders Association of Metro Augusta addresses the needs of firms and individuals engaged wholly, or in part, in activities relating to the business of remodeling, refurbishing, or any other form of home and commercial renovation. Membership in this Council shall be open to any builder or associate member in good standing of the Association.
The RMC third quarter meeting was Wednesday, July 8 with guest speaker Mark Hartz of ACES. Mark discussed new laws and guidelines for demolition, asbestos removal and lead paint. There could be serious repercussions if these jobs aren't done properly, so we need to be sure that we know and follow the law! The RMC 4th quarter meeting will be Wednesday, October 14. We'll let you know the program soon.
The objectives of this Council shall be:
- To associate firms and individuals engaged wholly, or in part, in activities relating to the business of remodeling, refurbishing, or any other form of home and commercial renovation.
- To enhance the professionalism of home and commercial renovation.
- To improve the working relationship with the various building officials and any other governmental agencies affecting the remodeling industry.
- To provide service and benefits to members of this Council which will assist them in the performance of their duties.
- To provide a forum for the free exchange of information between members of this Council.
- To promote the public image of the remodeling industry through special projects.
- To upgrade and ensure quality workmanship and professional ethics among the members of the remodeling industry.
